NSRC Austria

The National Sports Centres were taken away from federal administrative control on 1.1.1999 and the Bundessporteinrichtungen Gesellschaft mbH (company controlling the National Sport Centres) was formed to manage and run the facilities. The Lake Faak, Kitzsteinhorn, Maria Alm / Hintermoos, Obertraun, Castle Schielleiten and Südstadt National Sports and Recreation Centres are managed and operated by the BSPEG itself. The National Sports Centres located in St. Christoph is tendered out and run by the Austrian Skiing Association, the same applies for the air field in Spitzerberg - it falls under the auspices of the Austrian Aero-Club.

The National Sports and Recreation Centres (NSRC) offer ultra-modern sport facilities and board and lodging at affordable prices, at the same time the closest attention is paid to the service. Each and every person which belongs to one of the grant-aided groups pays a reduced tariff which is aided by the Ministry of Defence and Sports.

The primary target groups are federations, clubs, schools, sport academies and educational institutes. There are also other athletes, especially sport groups that are also welcome. We do not actually offer sport programmes, that is done by our clients themselves. The bookings are done directly at the centres themselves to make it easier.

Sincerely yours,

Michael Sulzbacher
